NAMI on Campus club to offer workshop on suicide awareness
(Modesto, CA) – The Modesto Junior College chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness – NAMI on Campus – will host a Suicide Awareness Workshop on Thursday, October 16, at 6 p.m. in the Forum Building, room 102, on East Campus, located at 435 College Avenue. The public is invited to participate in this free event.
The two-hour training provides participants with a general overview of suicide, recognizing the signs, prevention, intervention strategies and referral process, as well as community resources available in Stanislaus County.
Tim White, Stanislaus County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Community Educator, will conduct the workshop.
