Football:

MJC Volleyball:
Modesto goes 2-2 in Delta Classic. The Pirates beat Taft and Gavilan, while losing to Cabrillo and Delta. Cabrillo is currently number one in the state and Delta is ranked at eight. MJC is now 6-3 on the season and will play at Columbia on September 17th at 6:00pm.
Men’s Water Polo:
MJC Men’s Water Polo takes three of four over the weekend at the Delta tournament to improve to 6-3 on the year. The Pirates lost to Golden West (6-1) 2-14. They then beat Ohlone (1-6) 12-7, De Anza (2-5) 12-8, and Cabrillo (3-5) 10-2. MJC will play against Sierra on September 24th at home at 3:30pm.
Men’s Cross Country:
MJC had their top five runners all score with in the top ten to win the Panther Invitational. The Pirates won with a combined 36 points besting second place Santa Rosa by almost 30 points. This event featured Modesto, Santa Rosa, De Anza, San Joaquin Delta, Diablo Valley, Sacramento, and Yuba. MJC Men’s Cross Country will compete next in the Crystal Springs Invite in Belmont on September 26th.
