MJC Women’s Soccer Team Ranked 9th Nationally
In the second Junior College Division III National poll, the MJC Women’s Soccer team ranked 9th in the country. The Pirates are 4-0 to start the season beating Skyline (0-2-0), Las Positas (0-1-0), Fether River (4-1-0), and Chabot (1-1-0). Notably, Fether River is ranked 17th in the nationally.
Modesto has outscored their opponents 21-3 to start this season. Yariza Arista leads the team with 15 points on six goals and three assists. Jenna Viss and Herleen Pabla both have a team high four assists. Goalkeeper Elizabeth Amaya has contributed to two shutouts and has a GAA of .9343 with 15 saves.
